Part of the identification process requires you to receive an SMS for two-factor authentication. Sometimes they are not received.
At some points during your notarity journey our website or an agent by our service provider Swisscom may inform you, that you should receive an SMS shortly.
Sometimes these SMS are unable to reach your phone. Let's explore how to fix this issue.
We're going to assume, you have your phone with you, charged and connected to a mobile network. So there should be no apparent reason for you not to receive an SMS.
In most cases, this issue is connected to how your network provider communicates with Swisscom.
Solution 1:
Change your network provider. This is usually possible if you are currently roaming. Some countries allow you to also use roaming in your own country. If this is possible, switch your network provider temporarily.
Solution 2:
Register an online number. There are online services that allow you to register a digital phone number and receive SMS on those numbers. These services may not be free of charge.
Solution 3:
Contact the Swisscom support hotline or the hotline of your own mobile service provider and ask for assistance.
